Granite is one of my favorite materials. For walkways, I think it can even compare with brick for elegance. What do you think?<\/p>\n

Granite is heavy, and on the expensive side. But it’s extremely durable, and falls easily into landscaping requirements. Here in Florida, one thing I always consider is waterproofing. Granite won’t erode or wash away with the rain.<\/p>\n

Granite can hold a lot of weight, which makes it great for driveways. It can have a finished or a rough look. I like it best when used for a more rustic look, personally. Like this:<\/p>\n

I know I have rain on the brain, but I love this use of small pieces of granite at the end of a rain chain – perfect way to let the water through the pavers.<\/p>\n
